How is the API authenticated?

Every Public API request uses the Authorization: Bearer <API_KEY> header.

What does meta.remaining mean?

It is the relevant quota remaining after the request. Use it to adjust the frequency of automated calls.

Why can MCP message reads consume quota?

Claiming a previously unclaimed inbound message may consume inbound quota. Request full content only when needed.

Can I put an API key in source code?

No. Store it in a server-side secret manager or local MCP client environment, and never commit it to Git.
